Member of the DP Presidency, Ilirjana Kuçana, spoke in favor of holding primaries in the Democratic Party for the selection of candidates for deputies for the May 11 elections.
In the Report TV studio, Kuçana said that primaries are part of the Statute and no one can go beyond the Statute, it will be respected, they are the highest level of democracy.
"It is not a fight for a personal seat but for the DP. We are in the process of preparing the primaries, it is too soon for names and lists. It is too soon for the list of deputies," she said.
But she thinks that everyone in the party, including the leaders, should submit to the primaries, as she declared that President Trump will impose justice and there will be developments for Berisha's "non-women".
"The leaders of the DP must resign to run in the primaries. Work is still being done, it is being processed to be arranged to see which candidates will be there. The primaries must be held for everyone. Even political leaders should enter the primaries race. I demand justice without double standards. There will be strong developments for Berisha's wife, President Trump will impose justice," says Kuçana.
The DP member confirmed that she will run for the list.
"Where I can serve the DP the most, I am thinking about it and will announce it soon. I am delegated to the Durrës region," she admitted.
He also stated that "we are working for the Diaspora, because it is important. It will be important for the DP, it will change politics in Albania and that vote will be for the DP. We are dealing with the registration of the diaspora vote."
