The President of the Republic of Albania Bajram Begaj held a meeting with the Director of the Peace Corps, Carol Spahn.
While evaluating the commitment of the American program in Albania, Begaj expressed his congratulations for the support that the American side has given in expanding the scope and impact of this program in the country.
Also, during the meeting with the director of the Peace Corps, Carol Spahn, President Begaj expressed his belief in the bilateral commitment to the promotion of peace and development, through strengthening the role of young people.
The announcement of the Presidency states, among other things, that "Peace Corps volunteers have developed cooperation with local and central authorities, civil society and schools for community development".
"The President of the Republic of Albania, Sh.TZ Bajram Begaj, received the Director of the Peace Corps, Carol Spahn, in a meeting today.
The head of state appreciated the commitment of the American volunteer program in Albania and the assistance given over the years.
President Begaj also conveyed congratulations to the American side which has expressed its commitment to support Albania's efforts in expanding the scope and impact of the Peace Corps program in the country.
Peace Corps volunteers have developed collaborations with local and central authorities, civil society and schools for community development.
