Since December 8, the Head of the "Albania Becomes" Initiative, Adriatik Lapaj, has continued his resistance on the "Martyrs of the Nation" boulevard, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama. This Saturday at 12:00, Lapaj has called on all citizens to join en masse in a large protest.
In a live broadcast to Report TV, Lapaj said he believes that more citizens will join him day by day.
Meanwhile, two days after the protest called by Lapaj, Berisha announced the holding of a national protest on the same boulevard below Rama's office. Lapaj said that he will continue his protest and that everyone is invited to join or that he himself joins, but without a political logo.
"The protest started as an individual protest and, along the way, the number of people is increasing. By Saturday we anticipate reaching a significant number of participants. On Saturday we have planned an event at 12:00, which we believe will bring a significant number of citizens to express their indignation against the regime.
Who said we won't protest two days later? On Saturday we left a protest where we expect to have a greater climax. There is nothing to differentiate. This is a protest without a political subject, because if we are divided the goal will not be achieved. Every political party or group must leave its logo at its headquarters and go down to the square, as well as its leaders, without protagonism.
No political party can defeat Rama, because the structure he has built is linked to crime and is financed by state money. I am in the square 24 hours a day; you say, will you join him? Last night Lapaj did not leave, but we left violently. My move was to avoid creating conflict among citizens. This resistance has greatly worried Rama. In 7 days, 4 brutal interventions have occurred", said Lapaj.
