The new Parliament regulation, which is opposed by the opposition, continues to block the functioning of the Parliamentary Committees.
While the Socialists, in a group meeting, approved the distribution of deputies to the 11 permanent committees, the Democrats and their allies have not submitted to the Assembly the names of the heads of the 4 committees as well as those of the deputy heads of the 7 committees that will be led by the majority.
The failure to fill the Parliamentary Committees appears to have created an impasse in the full constitution of the Assembly's structures.
It seems that this situation has led Niko Peleshi, the head of the Assembly, to call a meeting of the heads of the Parliamentary Groups, in an attempt to resolve the impasse.
But on the other hand, the opposition is demanding Pelesh's dismissal, alleging that he violated the Constitution and the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly in the last parliamentary session, where the new Government and its program were approved, in a session that descended into chaos after the opposition protested.
The opposition has also declared that it will submit to the Constitutional Court amendments to the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly, which change the structure of the Parliament.
