Prime Minister Edi Rama will convene the Socialist Party Presidency this Tuesday at the headquarters of this political force.
The meeting is expected to start at 09:00 and, according to sources, the focus of the discussions will be determining the date for the SP Assembly.
The meeting comes a day after the submission of proposals for changes in the government to the President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj. Rama met with the President on March 2 at the Brigades Palace, as the Presidency building is currently under reconstruction.
In an official announcement, the Presidency announced that the Prime Minister presented proposals for the reshuffle of the government cabinet. According to constitutional procedure, the head of state has a period of seven days to decree the proposed ministers.
Rama has proposed the dismissal of seven ministers and the appointment of several new figures in the cabinet. Among the announced changes is the removal of Belinda Balluku from the post of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy. In her place, the Minister of Interior, Albana Koçiu, has been proposed as Deputy Prime Minister, while Enea Karakaçi is expected to take over the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy.
