"We will fight Rama united", Salianji's message to Berisha from

Ervin Salianji

Former Democratic Party MP Ervin Salianji continued his tour of meetings with democratic structures in the districts and stopped in Fier. Salianji stated that change in Albania can only come through the strengthening and unification of the opposition.

He gave strong messages for unity, not sparing criticism of the DP leadership, Sali Berisha, whom he said was not committed to uniting the democrats.

"The membership of the DP is our greatest asset. They are the people who still believe that Albania can be different. I believe in the new generation and my faith is being rewarded. They want fair competition, merit, dignity because generational change is not biology, but political culture. It is the transition from individuals to principles, from silence to free speech. We do not defeat the government by being afraid of competition. We win Albania by opening up to the new generation that the DP has been waiting for for years. The DP must be a party of competition, norms and hope because only in this way can we win the trust of citizens. Change is unity over principles. We are here to honor the DP with stronger pillars and foundations. We are also to unite those democrats who are being excluded from leadership," he said.

Salianji also stated that Albania needs political rotation and the removal of Prime Minister Rama, emphasizing that dissatisfaction with the government also exists among the Socialists.

Salianji described the healthcare system as "miserable" and said that: there is a shortage of doctors and medicines, citizens do not receive free services as they should, and that scandals with fake prescriptions and abuses with reimbursements have been discovered.

He mentioned cases where, according to him, doctors have issued prescriptions for "1,000 patients a day," describing them as scandals that endanger the lives of citizens.

Salianji:  I thank you from the bottom of my heart for this hospitality. It is not easy for the democrats in Albania and Fier due to the pressure and repression of the government but also the unexpected result in the May 11 elections. Albania needs a political rotation. It is necessary, the rotation, the departure of Rama and the government. Even the socialists are equally dissatisfied with the misgovernment.

Even hundreds of thousands of honest socialists know that this government must fall, that this government is fighting for a handful of people. They see the corruption, the empty cities. The projects that have turned into corruption sinkholes. How roads procured 3 times cost as much as the pension budget and come out without a trace of shame, you understand. Qukës-Qafë Pllocë risks the life of anyone who passes through there. You saw how Librazhd Prrenjas fell due to low capacities and corruption. You saw how the Murriz tunnel is being completed, inequality in tenders. Miserable healthcare, which should have been free.

Today there are no doctors, no medicines. There is no humanity in those who govern. You saw a scandal, how fake prescriptions were produced for medicines that are reimbursed 100 times more. The people who risk the lives of citizens are not mentioned by name. Because some companies want to make a few million euros. There were doctors who wrote prescriptions as if they were visiting 1000 patients a day.
