"Albania has a real opposition", Berisha attacks Rama: Wounded beast,
Berisha-Rama

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has harshened his tone towards Prime Minister Edi Rama, describing him as "a wounded beast" who, according to him, "will never recover."

In a statement after a press conference, Berisha emphasized that the political situation in the country is the result of the opposition's resistance, which he considered a key factor in denouncing the problems and increasing pressure on the government.

"All of this would be impossible without our voice, without our resistance. It would be nonexistent if we accepted a facade role. All of this proves that we are the only hope for this country ."

"I am just coming from the press conference with journalists and the beast is wounded, I can tell you this. Edi Rama is a wounded beast, he will never recover,"  said Berisha.

Berisha argued that according to him, the current government can only be kept afloat if the opposition withdraws, which he categorically ruled out.

"Edi Rama is wounded, he will never recover. Albanians should know this well. He survives only if we forgive and spare him. But we will never do that," he declared.

At the same time, the DP leader also focused on the role of the international community, mentioning the recent visits of fact-finding missions from the European Parliament. According to him, these missions have confirmed the issues raised by the opposition and have reflected criticism of the government in their reports.

Berisha described this as an achievement of the opposition, emphasizing that international reports, according to him, critically reflect the situation in Albania and the role of the government.

Berisha's statement:

All of this would be impossible without our voice, without our resistance. It would be nonexistent if we accepted a facade role. All of this proves that we are the only hope for this country. All of this is an inspiration and obligation for us to continue with the greatest determination our resistance. To remain undefeated. I am now coming from the press conference with journalists and the beast is wounded, I can tell you this. Edi Rama is a wounded beast, he will never recover. And this is because Albania has a real opposition. This would never happen without a real opposition in Albania.

Without a real opposition in Albania, the dislikes would express that this is the morality of Albanians. They would triumph that hostage-taking is the morality of Albanians. That immunity is an all-Albanian interpretation and not a constitutional obligation. That corruption is their environment. So, I am stopping here to emphasize what an extraordinary importance our resistance has had, our protests have had. And they will have. This importance has been expressed in the most decisive way by the international community. You are witnesses to how never before in this country in a span of three months two of the most important fact-finding missions came.

The European Parliament mission arrived, composed of deputies from all political spectrums, headed by the chairman of the foreign affairs committee. So, a fact-finding mission was given maximum weight and importance. They came, verified, objectively ascertained the major problems of Albania, denounced by us, but we still represent the political spectrum that we represent. But what is important is that they were embraced by the entire political spectrum of the European Parliament.

And this is a great achievement for us. After a very persistent, very serious work, the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament discussed the report today.
Edi Rama blacks out almost every paragraph of this report. And we have boundless gratitude to this committee, to the fact-finding mission for the seriousness and objectivity they have shown. Edi Rama is wounded, he will never recover. Albanians should know it well. He survives only if we forgive and spare him. But we will never do this.
