PD Vice President, Oerd Bylykbashi, gave details about the draft that the party he belongs to has for the diaspora vote.
Invited to the show "Debat" on "A2CNN", Bylykbashi said that in the draft it is emphasized that all immigrants abroad with or without documents where they live, but also students, immigrants, and even those who have gone to another country for treatment reasons.
According to Bylykbashi, the parties have already agreed that the vote of the immigrants will be counted in the district where they have their residence, while they are divided in the part of the residence.
"The two issues are very different, not only in terms of the need for 84 votes. If we had an agreement, as has happened regularly, the first time the Albanian parliament fails to make an electoral reform and this has been blocked by the SP.
We have offered a solution that is not simply the diaspora vote, which is a partial approach, but the vote from abroad. Every Albanian citizen has the right to vote even from abroad, of course not when he goes as a tourist for 4 or 5 days, but when he is abroad for reasons of emigration, regardless of legal or illegal because we have tens of thousands of Albanians without documentation and with the constitution has the right to vote. Today, the SP has the residence as a criterion, but we say that the address is necessary to deliver the election material, but we say that the military, students or those who go for long-term cures abroad can also vote. An agreement has been reached that the vote of those who vote from abroad will be counted in the county where they have their residence. Both parties have agreed to this. We are separated at the part of the residence ", said Bylykbashi.
