The voting process for the local elections in Kosovo has concluded in the 18 municipalities where the run-off round is being held. The polling centers closed at 19:00 and the turnout according to updates issued at 17:00 was 28.63 percent. (This figure is expected to be updated.)
According to reports from the CEC, 376,971 people have voted by 5:00 PM, out of 1 million 316 thousand 672 registered voters.
The voting process is reported to have been calm, without problems or interruptions. Meanwhile, the counting process and the release of the first projections are expected to begin soon.

We recall that in 18 municipalities of Kosovo a second round of voting was needed due to the close competition between candidates, however, one municipality in this round will not have a competition in practice. Kllokot, a municipality with a Serb majority, is holding a runoff only formally, because Srecko Spasic from the Civic Initiative Serbian National Unity, withdrew from the race and asked his supporters to vote for his opponent, Bozidar Dejanovic, who comes from the Serbian List.
Meanwhile, the run-off was held in some of the largest cities in the country, such as Pristina, Prizren, Peja and Gjilan.
