The head of the Civic Movement "Odgovor" Boban Bogdanovic has requested political asylum in Kosovo because of Milan Radoicic. The former police investigator in the north, Murat Mehmeti, announced that he requested political asylum after feeling threatened.
"The person who came here from Belgrade in favor of clarifying the case. The same person who contributed to solving this case for the murder of Oliver Ivanović was forced to seek asylum a few days ago. He requested political asylum in Kosovo. He has come to testify about Radoicic's network of people. It's a kind of fog, I don't know his specific interest, I don't know that there was an intention to create more fog than what is in the file", said Mehmeti.
Milan Radoicic and Zvonko Veselinovic are suspected of collaborating in the murder of Oliver Ivanovic.
Oliver Ivanović was the leader of the opposition entity Civic Initiative "Freedom, Democracy, Justice" who was killed in front of the headquarters of this entity in North Mitrovica in January 2018.
Six people are being tried in the case of Ivanovic's murder, four of them ex-policemen.
Marko Rosic, Silvana Arsovic, Nedelko Spasojevic, Rade Basara are accused of being a criminal group led by Milan Radoicic and Zvonko Veselinovic, who collaborated in the murder of Oliver Ivanovic.
According to the Prosecution, police officers Dragisha Markovic and Zharko Jovanovic manipulated the evidence.
According to the indictment, each of them committed concrete actions, which led to the murder of the now deceased Oliver Ivanović.
A few days ago, the Special Prosecutor's Office (SP) filed an indictment against a person in the case of Oliver Ivanović.
