The Director of the Kosovo Police, Gazmend Hoxha, said that the investigative process for the murder of Lirdona Ademaj is continuing in several stages. He said that other arrests are expected for the serious incident.
He stated that several tracks are being investigated for the complete clarification of the circumstances of the event. Hoxha emphasizes that he cannot talk about the motive yet, until he has proof.
"The investigative process continues in several stages. The police in this case proved to be very efficient and professional. In record time, he solved the murder and managed to arrest the persons involved in this case. The motive for this murder remains to be discovered. We are investigating several tracks, but I cannot make anything public until we have a clear motive" , said Hoxha in T7.
The head of the Kosovo Police has said that within the police there are investigators who have a lot of experience and that from the first moments, when the case of Liridona's murder happened, they suspected that something was wrong and that the explanations given by Naim Murseli and other people were not convincing.
"The Kosovo Police has a high professional level. Investigating police officers also work long hours and have experience in investigation. From the first moments, we had indications that something was wrong. We are not satisfied with clues, we had to provide evidence to arrest someone. The case was reported to have been a robbery. The explanations given by Naim Murseli himself and by other people were not convincing to us and we have extracted all the facts and testimonies. The entire process has been examined, the cameras that the houses have in that location, where the murder was committed", said the Police Director.
Asked if the moment of Liridona's murder was captured by security cameras, Hoxha said that there are no cameras in the place where the crime took place.
"The moment of the murder is not focused. It was an area that was not caught by the cameras", he added.
Asked about the fate of Liridona Ademaj's phone, Hoxha said that he does not know all the details, but he emphasized that through the confiscated phones it was possible to connect all the persons suspected of the murder.
"I can't tell him all the details. But through the evidence obtained from the phones, we managed to connect all the suspected persons with this murder. Confiscated phones are being examined" , stated director Hoxha.
Asked about possible new arrests in the case of the murder of Liridona Ademaj, he stated that they are not excluded and that everything is not over yet.
"The arrests have not been completed, it depends on other developments that may emerge along the way. I cannot prejudge whether or not there will be arrests. However, this is not all that we know about the case, even though almost everything has been clarified", said Hoxha.
Naim Murseli and his associates concocted a robbery scenario with the intention of killing Liridona on the evening of November 29. While Murseli, Liridona and the two children were traveling by car, the 'robbers' cut their way and stopped them. Naim Murseli himself got off the vehicle with the two children, leaving behind his wife who was shot dead by Plava. His testimony raised suspicions and prompted the authorities to investigate further. Security camera footage identified Plava and Kokalla, who revealed that they had been paid by Murseli to kill Liridona. The reason still remains a mystery. The first variant is that of the life insurance money that Murseli could benefit from in case an accident happened to his wife, while the second, the fact that Liridona could have known about a dark secret of her husband.
