With a margin of over 2700 votes, how did Përparim Rama defeat Hajrulla

In the elections held yesterday in Kosovo, the second round or runoff, Përparim Rama won a second term as mayor of Pristina.

But what is the difference between the first round and the runoff?

In the first round in Pristina, Rama won 35,595 votes or 33.71%, while Hajrulla Çeku won 35,077 votes or 33.21%.

In the runoff, Rama managed to get 46,935 votes or 51.54%, while Hajrulla Çeku 44,126 votes or 48.46%. Thus, in the runoff, the mayor of Pristina managed to win over 11,000 votes more than in the first round, while Çeku won over 9,000 votes compared to the voting two weeks ago. The difference between the two candidates at the end of the elections is over 2,700 votes, enough for Përparim Rama to hold another term as Mayor of Pristina.
