From tomorrow, Kosovo will travel visa-free in 27 EU countries

From tomorrow, on January 1, citizens of Kosovo will travel without visas in 27 member countries of the EU, which make up the so-called Schengen area.

After the entry into force of the liberalization of visas, holders of Serbian passports residing in Kosovo will remain the only ones without the possibility of free movement.

Meanwhile, the International Airport of Pristina "Adem Jashari" has recorded an increase in flights over 4% more compared to 2022, reaching the figure of 40 thousand flights for 2023.

Also, for the first time in the history of the airport, about 3.4 million travelers have traveled, and these travel figures are expected to increase during this year with the liberalization of visas for Kosovo. The airport is prepared for this number of passengers and is also investing in new spaces for any other possible flow.

Regarding the liberalization of visas, citizens have expressed their happiness for this opportunity, while tourist agencies say that the procedure for travel will now be much easier.
