Member of the British Parliament, Alicia Kearns, while commenting on the situation in the north, described the punishments against Kosovo as hypocrisy.
In a post on Twitter, she wrote that she welcomes the reaction of the USA for the release of the three policemen kidnapped by Serbia. While the decision for Prime Minister Albin Kurti for the mayors of the municipalities in the north, she has called it correct.
" I welcome the US confirmation of the illegal detention of three Kosovar policemen on "false charges". Unlike Kurti's decision for mayors of municipalities, this is an illegal act. But swift punishment only for Kosovo? As the key to de-escalation, sanctions may not help, this is a hypocrisy ," Kearns wrote.

What is happening in the north of Kosovo?
The situation in the north of Kosovo continues to be tense. The day before (June 14) in the vicinity of Leposavic, 3 members of the Kosovo Police were taken hostage by the Serbian Special Forces 'Cobra'. The incident happened when the three policemen were patrolling the border, in the place called Tresave/Bare. According to the Government of Kosovo, this is a response to the arrest 2 days ago in North Mitrovica of Serb Millun Millenkovic, one of the organizers of the violent protests in the North.
