Turkey will bring soldiers to Kosovo to join KFOR in response to NATO's request, following the unrest in the northern part of Kosovo.
The Turkish Ministry of Defense has called for restraint and constructive dialogue to resolve the crisis, which, according to Turkish authorities, could harm regional stability and security.
The Allied Joint Forces Command in Naples, which serves the NATO Alliance through the preparation, planning and execution of military operations, has welcomed the deployment of Turkey's Operational Reserve Battalion in Kosovo.
JFC Napoli wrote on Twitter that it is closely monitoring the situation and that KFOR remains committed to building a safe environment in Kosovo.
" We welcome the deployment of Turkey's Operational Reserve Battalion in Kosovo to reinforce KFOR. JFC Napoli is closely monitoring the situation and KFOR remains committed to building a safe and peaceful environment in Kosovo ", their response states.
