The Minister of Internal Affairs, Xelal Sveçla, has announced that in the north of the country, the person who threatened the deputy mayor of Leposaviçi Municipality, Dragana Miletiç, was arrested today.
Through a message on social networks, Sveçla writes that the time of impunity has ended.
" The day before yesterday the smuggling of goods was banned, yesterday the car was confiscated in an international search, today the person who threatened the deputy mayor of Leposavic Municipality, Dragana Miletic, was arrested. All this in the north of the country. The time of impunity has ended", he wrote.
We remind you that the tensions in the north of Kosovo escalated again after the elections were held in the 4 municipalities in the north of Kosovo. Since Lista Serbe boycotted the elections, the internationals expressed regret, but did not stop the Kosovo government from holding the elections. The north of Kosovo held the elections but even the citizens did not vote, despite the low turnout, in the 4 municipalities in the north of Kosovo, the two major Albanian parties in Kosovo, PDK and LVV shared the powers, each winning 2 municipalities. On the part of the internationals, there was regret for not participating in the elections, however, they did not consider them unconstitutional. It was this rhetoric of the internationals, i.e. the USA and the EU, that actually fueled the tensions. Not receiving an alert signal about the elections in the north, Kurti also sees them as legitimate, on the other hand, the Serbs in the north of Kosovo started the protests since May 26. The special forces and the Kosovo police have been in the area to protect the 4 Albanian mayors, who do not let them go to the office. Among other things, Lista Serbe has given two conditions to participate in the elections: To leave the special forces and the police of Kosovo and to form the Association of Serbian municipalities in the north of Kosovo.
