
Lumir Abdixhiku has been re-elected chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo.
In the 10th Electoral Assembly, Abdixhik secured the leadership of the oldest party in the country for another four years.
It is learned that the 333 delegates of the LDK present voted unanimously for Abijhik to lead the party even further, so there was no vote against and no abstention.
Abdixhiku was the only candidate for chairman of the LDK in these internal elections.
Here are the responsibilities of the party chairman, according to the LDK statute:
- Represents LDK in accordance with the Statute and Program of LDK, at home and abroad;
- Leads the work of LDK and its bodies;
- Convenes and leads the meetings of the Assembly of the LDK, the General Council and the Presidency of the LDK;
- Cares for the implementation of the decisions of the Assembly;
- Takes decisions and political positions in accordance with the Program and Statute of the LDK;
- Appoints the spokesperson of the LDK;
- Appoints the leaders in the administration of LDK;
- Gives initiatives for staff selection;
- Organizes regular and extraordinary meetings with heads of branches;
- Can call a meeting of each organ or body of the LDK.
