A serious incident occurred two days ago in the village of Baice, Lipjan, where a person was found dead and buried in a field in the village. The victim had been reported missing earlier by his family.
The spokesperson for the Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina, Kaltrina Shala, confirmed to Telegrafi that the victim was identified on Tuesday and that it is Enver Bajraktari.
"On 05.08.2025, the body was fully identified and it was Enver Bajraktar. An autopsy was performed and intensive investigations into this matter are in progress. However, at this stage we cannot provide detailed details," said Shala.
Regarding the case, the police have announced that they have so far interviewed four witnesses.
What did the family members say?
The deceased's family has opened their doors for condolences, while one of the relatives, Besnik Bajraktari, told reporters on Tuesday that the deceased had gone out to graze the cow the day before and had not returned.
"Around 4:00 PM, the family members released the cow to graze, and around 5:30 PM - 6:00 PM, the cow returned to the house, but without the shepherd. They tried to contact her, but they were unable to make contact. They also asked close friends, but she was nowhere to be found. When they saw that she was nowhere to be found, the whole village started searching ," he said.
Besnik Bajraktari also expressed how they have followed in his footsteps.
"The location was monitored through his brother's house and it was discovered that his last movement was to that small house. Based on this, a field search was started. The boys who came searched for him through the stick that was used to guard the cow. There they saw that he was crawling in the reeds.
Then, through those tracks, they went further. When they saw the newly placed soil and the corn planted on top of it, it was understood that it was a possible grave. When the grave was opened, a board was found and it was seen that there was a human corpse inside. It is not yet known exactly, as forensics must be taken… It is not known, as it is not assumed that there was anything there , ”he added.
The prosecution confirmed on Tuesday that the body had just been buried when it was found./Telegraph
