The giant stage that was prepared for the concert of Anna Vissi, Antonis Remos and Christos Mastoras with Melisses, in Ioannina, was destroyed by the strong wind that swept through the lakeside area.
Shortly after five in the afternoon, the stage at Mavili Square, with its special lighting and all the equipment, was swept away by strong winds.
Fortunately, there were no injuries as technicians were working on the final details at the time.
Ambulances and police arrived at the scene. The ambulances did not need to provide first aid or transport people, while police officers took care of removing people who had begun to gather in the lakeside area.
