Armando Broja is set to leave Chelsea. The national team striker has agreed to join Burnley, also in the Premier League.
The 23-year-old has gone two years without scoring a goal (between several loans and several injuries), but that hasn't stopped Burnley from assessing the abilities of the striker who was formed in the Chelsea academy.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that Broja has agreed to a permanent move and will travel to his new club in the coming hours, where he will undergo a medical and sign a long-term contract. Although he has a contract with Chelsea until 2028, injuries have seen Broja miss several months of recovery and loan spells at Fulham and Everton have not been as successful.
Chelsea a few days ago valued Broja at €25 million, a sum that Burnley seems to have agreed to pay. Although PSV, Stuttgart and Leipzig were after him, Broja chose to make a permanent move and remain in the Premier League.
