The match started at a high pace and the home team took the lead in the 18th minute through a goal by Sam Smith. Chelsea's reaction came relatively quickly, when a shot by Alejandro Garnaço ended in the net after an own goal by goalkeeper Artur Okonkwo, making the score 1-1 at the end of the first half.
The most exciting moments of regular time came in the final 10 minutes. In the 79th minute, Kollum Doyle scored for Urexham, restoring the advantage to the home team and igniting enthusiasm in the stadium.
However, Chelsea responded quickly. Young defender Josh Acheampong equalized with a powerful shot from inside the area, making the score 2-2.
In the extra minutes of regulation time, Urexham were left with a man down after midfielder George Dobson was sent off for a dangerous challenge on Garnaço. The match then went into extra time.
In the 96th minute, Alejandro Garnaço scored Chelsea's third goal, following a cross from Dario Esugo, giving the Londoners the lead.
Urexham thought they had equalised in the 114th minute when Luis Brant headed home a corner kick. However, after a VAR review, the goal was ruled out for offside.
In the final minutes of the match, Joao Pedro sealed a 4-2 victory for Chelsea, confirming the London team's qualification for the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, where they join Liverpool and Arsenal, who have previously secured their place in this stage.
