Antonio Conte is set to leave Napoli at the end of the season, ending a two-year spell in charge of the club. According to reports, the decision has been made and there is no turning back.
The coach from Salento is leaving after delivering an important title and the Italian Super Cup to the club. He is also expected to forgo the €8 million salary he would have earned if he had stayed until June 2027.
President Aurelio De Laurentiis is not expected to oppose Conte's decision. Official confirmation of the departure could come after the match against Udinese, which is expected to be the coach's last in charge of Napoli.
During his time at Napoli, Conte has recorded 53 wins, 19 draws and 18 losses.
The departure is not linked, according to the same sources, to any agreement with another club. Conte is said to have as his main desire to return to lead the Italian national team.

Meanwhile, Napoli are set to embark on a renovation phase. The club aims to reduce its wage bill, currently reported at €110m, as well as reduce the average age of its squad, which is among the highest in Serie A.
For next season's bench, the most talked-about name is Maurizio Sarri, who is seen as the main candidate to succeed Conte.
