Jose Mourinho has shared his assessments of his favorite teams in this year's World Cup, mentioning some of the strongest names on the international stage and reflecting on his future as a coach.
The Portuguese coach stressed that Portugal remains one of the main contenders, thanks to the potential it has in its composition. He also touched on Brazil , underlining the possible influence of Carlo Ancelotti in the management of the team: according to him, Brazil changes significantly with the Italian coach on the bench and can be seriously considered for the title.
In his analysis, Mourinho also included Argentina , the defending champions, who he described as a consolidated, united team with a strong collective spirit. He also mentioned France as another strong contender, highlighting the depth and high quality of the composition, which according to him could form several competitive teams. As for England , Mourinho said that their moment could come in the future.
Speaking about the stages of the tournament, he ironized the participation of some teams, saying that many of them reach the quarterfinals only to be eliminated, while the "real party" begins precisely at this stage.
Finally, Mourinho also touched on the issue of his professional future. Despite speculation about a possible return to big clubs, he hinted that he does not yet see himself in the role of national team coach. According to him, the lack of daily rhythm of club football, training, frequent matches and the emotions that accompany them, makes it difficult to imagine such a change at this moment.
