Napoli returned to victory, after defeating Atalanta 3-1 in the "Diego Armando Maradona", a match valid for week 12 of Serie A.
The main protagonist of the first 45 minutes was undoubtedly David Neres, who scored two goals. The first goal came in the 16th minute, after receiving a pass from Rasmus Hojlund, Neres entered the area beautifully and sent the ball into the net with a light right-footed shot.
The second goal came in the 38th minute, after a pass from Scott McTominay. Neres struck the net with a powerful shot from inside the area. Noah Lang tripled the tally for Napoli with his goal late in the first half. The Dutchman headed in a cross from Di Lorenzo.
Atalanta started the second half better, after finding the goal with Gianluca Scamacca, introduced right at the start of this half, in place of Mario Pasalic. Scamacca scored a very beautiful goal with an acrobatic shot, after an assist received from Raul Belanova.
In this match, Amir Rrahmani of Napoli and Berat Gjimshiti of Atalanta were the starters for both teams. But in the 64th minute of the match, Rrahmani requested a substitution and left the field injured.
The numbers didn't change until the end, Napoli won 3-1 and currently climbs to first place with 25 points. Rafaele Palladino starts with a loss at Atalanta, showing that he has a lot of work to do with this team, which is no longer the same after the departure of Gian Piero Gasperini last summer.
