After the extraordinary meeting called by Fenerbahçe to protect the honor of the club after the serious episodes of violence that occurred at the end of the match won with the numbers 3-2 in the opposing field of Trabzonspor, the Turkish Football Federation severely sanctioned the club from Trabzon.
Through a press release, the TFF announced that it had decided that Trabzonsport would play 6 matches behind closed doors, as well as pay a fine of around 87,100 euros. He also condemned the deputy coach Egemen Krokmaz, not to be present on the bench in the next match of his team. A heavy penalty for a club that is positioned third in the standings and is competing for a place in the Champions League.
The reaction of Trabzonspor did not take long. The club published a statement by its vice president on social networks, where he is totally against the decisions of the TFF.
"The process that happened after our match against Fenerbahçe and tried to drown not only Trabzonspor, but also a whole city with a lynching culture, has evolved into a place that today we find it difficult to define.
The penalties announced by the Turkish Football Federation are neither legal, reasonable nor immoral. TFF President Bykekshi and the A team have caused a new chaos in our country with the punishments they announced today.
As Trabzonspor, we do not have the slightest bit of faith left in the TFF President, his incompetent team or the refereeing community that is controlled by certain interest groups. Unfortunately, at this point, even good people doing their jobs have either become part of this despicable order or have remained silent and worried about their countries.
The Turkish Football Federation today opened a new curtain on the theater that has been going on since the start of the season. We say it more clearly once again... We have not been, are not and will not be part of this process!
TFF President Bykekshi and his protégés have stared our nation in the face and destroyed the love for football of millions of our citizens, sowed the seeds of discord in the middle of society and as of today they have completely lost control.
The only way for our country's football to come out of this deep coma is for everyone in responsible positions, first and foremost the president of the TFF, to resign without exception. If these steps are not taken today, the future of our country's football will be destroyed by this usurping team.
We never forgive the glorious rights of Trabzonspor and our millions of loyal fans who contributed to the decision announced today!
If you have even an iota of fear of God left, if there is an iota of honor and dignity that you never forget, you will never sit in that chair again.
Big fans of Trabzonspor should know this; Our fight against job thieves and match-fixers will continue forever.”
