Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has been "crucified" by his followers on social media. This incident is related to a photo taken, as it is seen that he was drinking from a paper cup with the emblem of Arsenal, their eternal rival.
At a delicate moment for the club, with Tottenham currently 14th in the Premier League, the image has piled more pressure on the Danish manager. Given the historic rivalry between the two London clubs, the photo was seen by fans as unacceptable.
Asked about the situation and the chaos caused, Frenk denied any malicious intent, explaining that it was all a misunderstanding.
" I absolutely didn't notice. It would have been pure stupidity if I had known the Arsenal crest was on the glass and taken it. I would never do something like that on purpose ," the Tottenham manager said.
However, despite his explanation, fans are calling for Frenk to be sacked, and given his poor results, his fate seems to depend largely on the results of the upcoming matches.
