Semani embankment breach, thousands of hectares of flooded land

As a result of the breach in the Semani River embankment, thousands of hectares of land are covered by water.

Currently, about 3,500 hectares of land and over 20 homes have been flooded. Due to the breach in the embankment, the water level is rising. The flooding has not even given residents time to save their livestock.

During midnight, water also penetrated several homes in the village of Havaleas, forcing residents to take to the streets to escape the floods.

Civil emergency teams have arrived in the area, working to monitor the situation and assist residents.
