Former police chief Shemsi Prençi said that the late judge Astrit Kalaja had spoken to his colleagues in a cafe on the day of the incident, telling them that there was a problematic trial over property issues.
Prençi said that in a way, the judge had a premonition that there could be consequences. He also said that if the trial were to be held in Shkodra, the police were aware of the danger and, according to him, would take measures.
"The late Kalaja told his colleagues in a cafe that he had a problematic trial over property issues. His colleagues told him. And he couldn't tell anyone else. And he felt it. Fate wanted him to be from Shkodra and the parties from Shkodra. If the trial had been in Shkodra, the police would have known the danger. And the new map of the division of the judiciary led to the extinction of the judiciary and the republic," Prençi told "A2 CNN".
