SPAK's investigation of Sali Berisha and his son-in-law for the privatization of the former Partizani Complex has caused a part of the opposition that supports Berisha in PD to become active in his defense, leaving aside their daily work.
In the show "The Unexposed" on MCN TV, it was discussed about the costs that this defense strategy of Berisha can have for the PD and the opposition.
Three analysts, Andi Bushati, Neritan Sejamini and Artur Zheji, do not think so.
Andi Bushati : Sali Berisha, is he being attacked for being the leader of the opposition or not? If Berisha is attacked for being the leader of the opposition, then every person in the opposition has the right to defend the rights of the opposition. If he is hit like an ordinary bandit, who has shared the money with the son-in-law, then it will harm the opposition. The process of privatization of the Partizani club, which I suspect may be an affair, precedes several other processes, such as the theft of the seal. So we have a use of justice as a butcher against oppositionism, if that is the case, Berisha is right. If Basha has rightly received the stamp that he is the real opposition, then Berisha is a weight for the opposition. If we are at the point where justice is being used as a machete against the opposition, then resistance is a must.
Neritan Sejamini : I think a little differently, there is an unchangeable fact, the next elections in 2025.
If I were Mr. Berisha, I would understand that this battle is not about winning justice but the sympathy of public opinion. This is shown by showing that he is a victim, calmly. If I were like Mr. Berisha, I would say that so many owners, so many families, so many families with so many gunmen have benefited from VKM, etc. So showing the size of the issue. If the Democratic Party will enter the trenches and everyone will speak to protect Berisha, today and for a few months the 2025 elections will be gone.
Andi Bushati : No matter how Saliu behaves, the elections are over! If you have the illusion that there are elections here, let's play a political game. The elections are over.
Artur Zheji : First point, Saliu does not change. He did everything head-on, they advised him to withdraw, he continued. I once advised him for January 21 and I was wrong, he did the opposite. Second, we are going to the reasoning that SPAK is acting with a political agenda or background, is persecuting the leader of the opposition, in order to leave the opposition without a head.
