Journalist Artur Zheji has spoken about the situation of the opposition and the Democratic Party, especially the supporters of Sali Berisha.
He said that Berisha's supporters are devoted to him, even though they understand that the party needs a new leadership.
"The first hall of the pulpit is its head. They have a love and devotion to the absolute head who exercises influence and power. They understand. They have an impasse. They understand that a new reorganization must begin, but they cannot sacrifice the doctor for this. The doctor, even more so under house arrest, cannot be the leader of an opposition and the pulpit, this is a very big psychological problem", said Zheji.
Zheji also spoke about the positioning of Ilir Meta and his silence.
The analyst says that this shows that the alliance of the leader of the Freedom Party with Sali Berisha is at its weakest point.
"Flaw is a very expressive lack. The absence is so glaring, and surprisingly, it has gone unnoticed. It is not a debate or topic in any show. I think the main message, and this is where Saliu is wrong, is not that Meta will tell Rama that I am not with Saliu, but that Meta will tell the Americans that I am not with him non grata. I am in the opposition, I am not non grata, because I am pro-American", he added.
Also, the analyst Artur Zheji maintains the same opinion that the head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, wants to distance himself from Berisha without creating a big rift.
"Meta is giving direct messages to Americans. It will create a big crack, visible distancing and a clear message to the internationals. The main emergency is to avoid misunderstandings with the Americans, so that they are clear that he is not with Berisha", said Zheji on ABC News.
