Prince Leka has filed a report at Police Station No. 1 in Tirana against his ex-wife Elia Zaharia and her father Gjergj Zaharia. Prince Leka requested a protection order claiming that his ex-wife's father raped him.
Prince Leka's lawyer, Aranit Roshi, said in an interview for Euronews Albania that the prince was violated, and there are even signs of violence against him.
He said that Prince Leka is a caring parent and had no reason to be conflicted in the eyes of his daughter.
"He was in his own apartment and despite this, the Prince left the apartment to create privacy for Elias and their daughter. It was a routine visit to see the girl, he became the object of the attack, he was unprepared and he did not register the violence against him. That video was released without our knowledge and approval, we do not know who released it, but we will investigate this part. These are moments of violence, no one wants to be exposed in public under those circumstances, it is a violation of a person's physical integrity," said the lawyer.
