The Maliq-Lozhan-Strelcë road, which for more than 10 days was used as an alternative route by drivers to get to Gramsh after the closure of the Librazhd-Prrenjas road, has suffered new damage.
According to reports from the area, the constant traffic and the significant increase in traffic flow during these days have worsened the condition of the road.
In some segments, landslides, damage to protective barriers, as well as deep cracks in the asphalt and deformations of the road surface have been observed.
Although the traffic on the main road has decreased significantly since it reopened, the damage to the road remains a serious problem. No repairs have been made to date, and experts say the road needs immediate attention to avoid further deterioration.
The Maliq–Lozhan–Strelcë axis was built by the Gjikuria company, while the investment for its construction was around 1.4 billion lek. Recurring problems on this road have constantly raised questions about the quality of the works.
