With or without a new party among the Democrats, the opposition has no chance of winning the parliamentary elections expected to be held next spring. This is the opinion of the analyst Andi Bushati, who, invited to Ditari by Bruna Çifligu this Tuesday afternoon, explained two more reasons.
First, according to Bushati, over the years it has already been shown that with Edi Rama as prime minister, we cannot talk about elections but about votes. And, secondly, as he said, the opposition's mistake lies in the fact that it is trying to keep the citizens with lies when in fact it could convey the reality.
"They have a kind of mentality that you have to give false hopes to the Albanians to keep them close to you... When they have to say: The opposition in Albania is in survival conditions, help us... In these conditions, you are closer people", he said
Meanwhile, focusing on the elections that are expected to be held in Himare on August 4, Bushati says that the opposition, instead of coming up with a candidate, should actually boycott.
"It would not make sense for the opposition to participate in these elections as they are completely falsified. August 4 is simply a dress rehearsal for the elections that will follow in 2025. Because Rama tried to manipulate everything, using the police, SPAK, GJKKO and finally the president of the republic," adds the analyst.
According to him, no opposition candidate has a chance against the SP candidate, since in this particular case "he is not competing with a rival party, but with the whole state."
By participating in the Himara elections, according to Bushati's analysis, the opposition is telling the head of the government that "the manipulation may continue in the next elections."
"These give Rama a guarantee that in the next elections, I will do all this for us, we know the result, but we will still go like a goat to the butcher", he said.
