The intense rainfall of recent hours has caused a significant increase in river levels in several regions of the country, leading to flooding of agricultural lands and homes, landslides, infrastructure damage and road blockages.
According to the latest update from the Ministry of Defense, the most problematic situation is in the districts of Shkodër, Lezhë, Durrës, Fier, Berat and Gjirokastër, while in other districts the situation remains under monitoring or without immediate danger.
Civil Protection Structures and the Armed Forces, under the coordination of the National Civil Protection Agency and the Ministry of Defense, are engaged in the field for emergency management, evacuation of residents and minimization of damage.
Situation by region:
Shkoder
In the village of Obot, the water level has reached about 60 cm above the main road, allowing traffic only for high-tonnage vehicles. Considerable areas of agricultural land have been flooded, while 15 homes in Vau e Dejës are surrounded by water. Blocked roads are reported in Malësia e Madhe, while landslides and rockfalls have been recorded in Fushë-Arrëz.

Kukes, Tirana and Korca
Rivers are at high levels, but without immediate danger. In Korça, some roads in Devoll, Pogradec and Prrenjas are impassable due to landslides and blockages.
