Lawyer Kujtim Cakrani expressed his outrage at the position of his client, former President Ilir Meta, inside the glass cage, during the first session of the trial. Cakrani stated that the position in the cage is illegal, violating his freedom and humiliating him.
He also added that he had requested that the trial be broadcast live, but this request was not accepted by the court.

I had requested that the process be broadcast live since we have nothing to hide. As has happened in Italy and everywhere. They were not accepted by the court. The judicial process should be as transparent as possible.
