The head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, has been reporting to the Albanian Parliament since 16:30, while also answering questions from MPs, mainly from the opposition, regarding the issues being investigated by the Special Prosecution Office.
One of the questions that MP Flamur Noka asked the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, was whether he had launched an investigation into the Socialist Party's network of patronage agents.
"As for patronage, the moment the patronage is identified in the role you describe, which includes legalization, distribution of money or registration of property in mortgage, here we are talking about patronage, which constitutes active or passive corruption in elections. We do not have any article in the Criminal Code for patronage. Penalize it in the Assembly and then we will intervene," said Dumani.
Regarding electoral crimes, the head of SPAK said that every claim and report has been verified.
"I have mentioned it other times: SPAK has verified every allegation of the complainants. In every case, and this was also the objective of the Task Force that was established, the verifications were to be done in record time, and we have decided in 43 cases not to initiate criminal proceedings. Out of the 43 cases, only 3 have been appealed to the court. These criminal reports mainly targeted illegal employment, electoral asphalt and the use of public administration", said Dumani.
