Journalist Klodiana Lala speaking about one of SPAK's hottest files, the CEZ-DIA affair, said that the Special Prosecutor's Office is following a new strategy for this matter.
In an interview for the show "Kjo Javë" on "News 24", she pointed out that SPAK is also investigating people close to the head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi, as well as looking at bank movements. She further stated that the investigation against Meta is in the final stage and that the decision is expected soon.
"We have two former CEZ officials who are being tried. Two testimonies were taken, one of them is that of Elvis Mata. Former president Meta has attacked both of them, if I may use this word, raising doubts about their personalities. But the Prosecution does not stop at the personality, but at the reports, the evidence. It is a different strategy that the Prosecutor's Office is following. Meta claims that he has no role in this affair. The prosecution is investigating suspicions of influence and benefits, if any. Bank movements are being watched and are being investigated. Meta sees this attack as political, accusing Prime Minister Edi Rama. There are already several hot files in the Special Prosecutor's Office, there are many cases at once. The investigation for Meta is in the final stage and the results will be released. Within a short time, a decision will be made" , said journalist Klodiana Lala.
