SPAK and the State Police have conducted a series of extensive operations in several cities in the country, targeting criminal structures and illegal activities.
In one of the largest cases, SPAK has seized 41 suspected assets linked to Ergys Agas and Ermal Beqiri, including yachts, apartments, businesses, garages and dozens of hectares of forests, while police have also landed at the "Equos Resort" complex.
In Lezha, Milot and Laç, the State Police have cracked down on gambling networks linked to the names Ylli Cara and Ilir Proda. During the operation, slot machines and poker tables were discovered, while the director of the Lezha Police, Islor Islami, was dismissed.
Following this, another action against gambling has been extended to Tirana, where 9 illegal premises have been discovered and 5 people have been arrested: Xhuljan Kaloshi, Klajment Çurri, Redion Muka, Edmond Ndreka and Klodjan Vishkurti, while 2 others have been declared wanted.
Also in the capital, SPAK has undertaken another operation at a "Call Center", with suspicions of police involvement. Electronic equipment, documents and money have been seized, while the investigation has been expanded.
In another anti-drug operation in Tirana, 36 people involved in drug distribution were identified, with 15 arrests being made. In total, 60 kg of cannabis, 2 kg of cocaine, 4 weapons, 121 thousand euros, 60 million lek and 5,000 pounds were seized.
In court, Laert Haxhiu is on trial for 14 criminal episodes, including murder, assassination and TNT in Noizy's business. His defense has requested 60 witnesses, including Bashkim Rajku and "Cllevio" (Kleviol Ahmetaj), while the prosecution is seeking the testimony of justice collaborator Artan Tafani. Haxhiu is in Drenova prison.
In Shkodra, a 27-year-old woman lost her life after giving birth to twins, despite medical intervention and calls for blood donation, where dozens of citizens mobilized. In Fier, prisoner Luan Sali Bundo, 67, sentenced to 10 years in prison, died in hospital, suspected of cardiac arrest.
In Italy, a shocking incident occurred in Catanzaro, where 46-year-old Anna Democrito jumped from the third floor along with her three children; two children lost their lives, while a girl survived with serious injuries. In Spain, the Castellón court sentenced an Albanian cocaine trafficking clan, including two leaders and four members, to 6 years in prison.
