For five days, the residents of Rrjoll in Velipojë have been physically attacked by the State Police because they have come out to defend their lands, on which oligarch Bashkim Ulaj intends to build a resort.
With false cadastral documents, obtained on the orders of Prime Minister Edi Rama, his client Bashkim Ulaj has robbed 147 hectares of land from the residents of the village of Rrjoll.
Meanwhile, a year before the false cadastral documents were produced, Edi Rama had approved Ulaj's "Strategic Investor" status for the construction of the "Blue Borgo" resort with residential buildings, hotels, commercial units and villas.
On Friday, residents declared that they will continue their resistance and will not retreat in the face of police violence and threats being made against them by criminals paid and instigated by Bashkim Ulaj.
But the State Police will not withdraw either, because Prime Minister Edi Rama, through the Director of the Police, Ilir Proda, is using it for physical violence against the residents of Rrjoll, putting it at the service of the interests of the oligarch Bashkim Ulaj.
According to information received by "Pamfleti" from sources within the police hierarchy, Director Ilir Proda, in compliance with Edi Rama's order and as an obligation from the check given by Bashkim Ulaj (as is being discussed), has created a police "barracks" in Velipojë, to remove residents from their lands.
So far, around 150 police forces, including special forces platoons, have been deployed there to exert pressure, handcuffs, criminal proceedings, and physical violence against residents until they become afraid, tired, submissive, and leave the land.
These forces are planned in groups of 50 police officers, with three shifts of service near the lands in Rrjoll, to violate residents who obstruct the works of the Bashkim Ulaj company.
Meanwhile, about 100 other officers who remain in the "barracks", removed from the law enforcement services and from the National Public Security Force (former FNSH) of the police stations of Tirana, Shkodra, Lezha, Kurbin and Puka, are on permanent alert to intervene against the residents, until they leave their lands.
If the residents of Rrjoll continue their resistance against the predatory project of oligarch Bashkim Ulaj, the police have been ordered to guarantee them the land and works for the resort, using extreme violence and additional police forces.
Just as Edi Rama acted when he destroyed the National Theater building, the homes of the residents of Bërxulë, the Theth area, the "5 Maji" neighborhood in Tirana, and everywhere else where Bashkim Ulaj and other builders have stolen land for towers and resorts.
Once again, as a reference to the head of SPAK, Klodian Braho, to launch an investigation into the theft of the lands of the residents of Rrjoll, we are repeating the two questions raised earlier:
– Has the oligarch Bashkim Ulaj rewarded the chief police officer Ilir Proda for the police violence he is exercising against the residents of Rrjoll in Velipojë, who are protesting to protect their lands?
