Police have responded to a bomb threat at the Democratic National Committee (DNC) headquarters in Washington, D.C., after a federal law enforcement source said an investigation was underway into an “incident” at the Democratic National Committee (DNC) headquarters in Washington, D.C. A full search of the building is underway, but no explosive devices have been found so far.
The Senate offices have received a notice informing staff to avoid the DNC building. The notice distributed said: “ Please inform your staff. Capitol Police are responding to an incident at the Democratic National Committee (DNC) headquarters. Staff are advised to stay away from police activity. ”
The bomb threat was later declared “non-credible” by Capitol Police, according to a DNC spokesman. “ Out of an abundance of caution, Capitol Police are conducting an internal search of the building ,” he said.
He also added: " As DNC Chairman Ken Martin has emphasized, political violence in any form has no place in our country. We are grateful to the Capitol Police and DNC building security for their swift and professional response ."
