The Israeli military has carried out a wave of airstrikes on Iranian air force capabilities overnight, targeting various aircraft at several airports.
According to a statement published on Telegram, dozens of Israeli warplanes hit planes and helicopters at three airports in Tehran.
Among the targets was Mehrabad Airport, which, according to the IDF, was used to transport weapons and funds to Iran-allied groups in the Middle East region.
Operations were also extended to Bahram and Azmayesh Airport, without further details on damage or casualties being given.
Footage released by the Israeli military shows strikes on stationary aircraft on the runway, suggesting a focus on neutralizing Iran's air capabilities.
