Attacks on Iran, Israel: We eliminated the Chief of General Staff, Ali Shadmani

The Israel Defense Forces said today that they had eliminated the Iranian Chief of General Staff, Ali Shadmani, in their airstrikes.

The military described Shadman as "Iran's top military commander."

Shadmani was appointed to his role following the killing of Gholamali Rashid last week by Israeli forces, who was the former head of Khatam al-Anbiya's Central Headquarters.

"Overnight, the Israeli Air Force, using accurate intelligence obtained by the IDF Intelligence Directorate and seizing an unexpected opportunity, struck an operational command center in the heart of Tehran, eliminating Ali Shadmani, the wartime Chief of General Staff, Iran's top military commander and the right-hand man of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei," the IDF said in a statement.
