Officials in Germany have said they cannot rule out "terrorist motives" after a knife attack at a festival that left three people dead.
At the same time, a 15-year-old boy who is suspected to be related to the incident has been handcuffed. They are investigating the possibility that he may have spoken to the attacker.
Prosecutor Markus Caspers said authorities were still looking for a motive and a male perpetrator, as a "large-scale" overnight manhunt involving several police forces and special units continued. There is no clear link between the people who were attacked, authorities said - one of the reasons why terrorism cannot be ruled out.
A 56-year-old woman and two men, aged 56 and 67, died after the attack. Eight people were injured, four in serious condition, while "many other people suffered mental stress".
Police were alerted by witnesses shortly after 21:30 local time on Friday to reports of several people injured in a central square, Fronhof, during a community festival.
