The High Representative of the European Union, Josep Borrel, said today that they are preparing for the next wave of expansion.
Among other things, Borrell gave details about the meeting in New York with the leaders of the Western Balkans, where President Vjosa Osmani also participated, on the occasion of the 78th session of the United Nations Assembly.
Borrell called them future members of the EU, as he said they are preparing for the new wave of enlargement.
"Traditional meeting with our six Western Balkan partners, the future members of the EU. We discussed current global challenges, alignment, joint work in multilateral forums and reforms. As we prepare for the next wave of expansion, we want to make progressive integration a reality," Borrell wrote.
