
A fire has broken out in three communities in the south of France, including the seaside resort of Argelès-sur-Mer.
This situation has led to the evacuation of more than 3,000 people from various camps, according to the fire department and the regional government.
The fire broke out shortly after 17:00 yesterday in the eastern Pyrenees, a prefecture that borders Spain, prefectural authorities explained to AFP, specifying that it has spread to 4,800 hectares in an urban area in a country with many tourists.
No civilian casualties were reported in the area, but 17 firefighters were slightly injured, according to authorities.
