EC President Ursula von der Leyen has reacted to the tragic attack that took place on Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia's most famous beach.
She said she was shocked by the deadly shooting on Sydney's iconic Bondi Beach. The bloc's top diplomat strongly condemned the act and called it a "horrific act of violence" against the Jewish community.
She stresses that Europe stands with Australia and Jewish communities wherever they are.
"Europe stands with Australia and Jewish communities everywhere. We stand united against violence, anti-Semitism and hatred. This horrific act of violence against the Jewish community must be condemned unequivocally ," Von der Leyen wrote in "X".
