Strait of Hormuz under pressure, Trump: Iran is not allowing normal oil passage

US President Donald Trump has said that Iran is "doing a very poor job" in allowing oil to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, stressing that a two-week ceasefire is contingent on Tehran opening this vital corridor.

Since the ceasefire was announced, only a few Iranian ships have passed through the strait, while a non-Iranian tanker passed through the morning of the previous day.

It is about the MSG ship, with the Gabonese flag, which, according to Sky News reports, passed through the maritime corridor in the early hours of the morning.

Its passage was indirectly confirmed, as it appeared on tracking systems in the Gulf of Oman later in the evening.

According to MarineTraffic data, the tanker is carrying around 7,000 tons of fuel and had departed from the port of Ghantout in the United Arab Emirates, bound for India.

Records show that the ship had been anchored for more than 25 kilometers off the coast of the Emirates from April 5 to 7, likely waiting for the moment to pass.

Meanwhile, satellite images show that other ships are also waiting in the same area, while one of them matches the dimensions of the MSG tanker.

According to maritime intelligence firm Lloyd's List Intelligence, more than 600 ships are currently stranded in the Persian Gulf, of which 154 are tankers carrying cargo. Experts predict that it could take several weeks to clear the situation.
