Saudi Arabia has warned that if Israel's military operation continues in Rafah, which is the last refuge for hundreds of thousands of Palestinian civilians, it will cause a humanitarian catastrophe. Riyadh has requested the intervention of the UN Security Council.
During a statement the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom spoke about the extremely dangerous consequences of such an operation.
Riyadh states that they reject and condemn the forced displacement of hundreds of thousands of civilians who are forced to flee to escape the violent Israeli attack on the Gaza Strip.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia denounces the ongoing violation of international law and points to the need to urgently convene the Security Council to prevent Israel from causing an imminent humanitarian catastrophe, the responsibility of which lies with all those who support the attack.
It is recalled that after ordering the army to prepare an attack on Rafah, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday demanded that he be presented with a "dual plan" to evacuate civilians and "destroy" the Palestinian Islamist organization Hamas.
