The United States has increased its military presence in the Strait of Hormuz, sending advanced warships on patrol, in a move accompanied by direct warnings to Iran.
During a statement, Dan Caine described the fleet as a "sports car" of the US Navy, emphasizing its power and combat capabilities in an area of global strategic importance.
According to him, the Arleigh Burke-class destroyers are among the most advanced, large in size and equipped with a wide arsenal of weapons, including various missiles, defense systems and integrated helicopters.
He emphasized that these assets have significantly increased the operational capability and reach of the US Navy, guaranteeing a strong presence in the region.
According to Caine, the most important element remains the personnel on board. He noted that the more than 300 sailors on each ship are the core of operations, remaining on constant alert.
He adds that these crews operate 24 hours a day to ensure immediate and effective response to any possible situation.
"They operate 24 hours a day in a state of constant alert, always delivering results for our joint force ," Caine said.
