United States President Donald Trump has intensified his political rhetoric, accusing the radical left and the Democratic Party of trying to create domestic instability to, according to him, undermine the success of American military operations in Iran.
In a public response, Trump said his political opponents are trying to distract attention from developments on the foreign front. " They are trying to create domestic chaos to overshadow the great military achievement we have in Iran ," he stressed.
The president used direct language towards the opposition, characterizing Democrats and the “radical left” as forces that refuse to accept what he describes as a clear victory for the United States. According to Trump, their stance is more related to domestic political conflict than to an assessment of the international situation.
" They hate to see us win so convincingly and decisively, but the American people understand what's happening ," he added, shifting the emphasis from political criticism to the perception of public opinion.
Trump's statements come at a time when the operations in Iran and their consequences are dominating the political debate in the US. His rhetoric shows that the conflict abroad is increasingly reflected in the domestic political clash, turning the Iran issue into a central topic of debate between the administration and the opposition.
